Dogon Tribe Granary Door from 18th Century (North Africa) ($675)

A rare 300+ year old artifact of museum quality which chronicles the contact between an alien life form from the Sirius solar system and humans on Earth.

I am selling a Dogon Tribe Granary Door from 18th Century (North Africa) for $675 on OfferUp. Check it out.

You will never see one of these available ever again! The Dogon Tribe has lived in Sub Sahara Northern Africa for thousands of years. Their knowledge of celestial details, such as SIRIUS being a binary star, transcends that of modern man and has confounded anthropologists for over 100 years. When the Hubble Telescope was placed in orbit, it was discovered that the details shared by the Dogon Tribal Priests in 1908 and recorded on film were actually true! This 22" Wide by 41" Tall Village Granary Door was in use during the 18th century and has carved pictographs telling the story of when the Nommi came to earth... The Nommi were amphibious by nature and gave the Dogon their knowledge of celestial systems, mathematics, science, agriculture, the rule of law and more. The Nommi came to Earth from a planet in the SIRIUS solar system. This granary Door was a gift sent to me for Christmas 2007 after I had given an impromptu presentation about the Dogon Tribe's knowledge of the Sirius system which was more accurate than modern science and only became evident after Hubble was launched. This item belongs in a museum and is actually priceless in documenting contact between an alien species and humans. I am embarrassed to be offering it for $1,000 but my situation is dire and I have run out of options. Size is 22 inches wide by 41 inches tall. Constructed of a dark hardwood, hammer forged bronze nails, latch mechanism and 3D Relief carvings.

Search Engine Advertising Versus Search Engine Optimization

Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

While organic search engine optimization generates traffic, it is not instantaneous or immediate. Using search engine marketing methods or programs can deliver traffic online immediately; instead of over a period of months. The most common business model for search engine ads is pay per click (PPC)*.

PPC search engine advertising allows for maximum exposure while you control the amount you want to spend on your marketing campaign. Moreover, the effectiveness of your ad campaign can be clearly tracked.

Pay per click (PPC) refers to the online advertising payment model in which payment is based solely on qualifying click-throughs. In other words, advertisers pay the search engine each time someone clicks their ad.

PPC ads appear on the top premium position and along the right-side bar of the organic or natural listings on a search engine results page (SERP), and are labeled in various ways**. These paid ads are ranked on a SERP based on an auction model that determines which ads will display and in which positions.

San Francisco SEO Company. is able to provide your PPC marketing strategy with support and value on your company's domain. We work with you to manage your PPC efforts and maximize your website's potential search traffic and ulitmately, conversions and ROI.

Each project valuation tends to be unique based upon individual goals. This awareness in our approach helps define and produce a work plan that works with your search marketing objectives.

Pahrump-based radio host Art Bell dies at 72 – Las Vegas Review-Journal

Longtime radio host Art Bell died Friday at his Pahrump home, the Nye County Sheriff's Office announced. He was 72.

Bell's paranormal-themed show, "Coast to Coast AM," was syndicated on about 500 North American stations in the 1990s before he left the nightly show in 2002. He broadcast the show from Pahrump's KNYE 95.1 FM, a station he founded.

Bell retired several times in his career, which included a short-lived show on SiriusXM satellite radio in 2013.

Returning to terrestrial radio afterward was not a difficult decision, he told the Pahrump Valley Times in August 2013.

"That's easy, because I love it," he said at the time. "It's my life, and that's all I have ever done. I went through a lot of family problems, so that interrupted things, and I was overseas for four years, and that certainly interrupted things. I went back into radio because I love it."

Bell was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2006. He did not attend the presentation.

In 2008, Bell was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

Bell was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on June 17, 1945. He served in the the U.S. Air Force as a medic during the Vietnam War.

According to the Coast to Coast AM website, Bell was an FCC licensed radio technician at age 13. He also set a Guinness World Record for a solo broadcast marathon, at more than 116 hours, while working as a DJ in Okinawa, Japan, the website said.

Stunningly Beautiful American Indian Painting (print) ($125)

I am selling a Stunningly Beautiful American Indian Painting (print) for $125 on OfferUp. Check it out.

I purchased this breathtaking and beautifully framed high quality print of an oil and acrylic painted by a Navajo artist while I was at the Cave Creek Art Festival in 2006. It is a uniquely beautiful painting that has an almost hypnotic impact on the viewer. The frame is exceptionally nice and well crafted. I paid $575 for this print/painting and am selling it for less than half... I need money now so I'm selling what should be a family heirloom. Don't miss out on this high value painting/framed print being sold below market value due to my financial desperation.

Digital Marketing Predictions for 2018

Predicting the future is impossible. But if anyone could know what will be big in online video in 2018, it'd be Bettina Hein, Allison Stern, and Jason Mander. They're all leaders at companies on the frontlines of digital media. So it's their day job to have a pulse on not only today's trends, but what online video trends are coming next.

Here's what they think 2018 will hold for the future of online video.

1183 Inline 01

The CMO

"This is a big year for sports. The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil reached a global in-home television audience of 3.2 billion people, and 280 million people around the world watched through online and mobile video. In 2018, I predict that number will be flipped. More people will watch the World Cup on social, digital, and mobile video than on TV. Brands will need to shape their strategies accordingly, from TV-first to digital-first."

Allison Stern, CMO & co-founder at Tubular Labs

The Chief Research Officer

"The time has come to really get to know Gen Z. Gen Z are now spending longer online on mobile than on all other devices combined, and this mobile-first mindset impacts all Gen Z's media behaviors. For example, compared to millennials they spend longer on social per day, but less time on both broadcast and online TV. Short, bite-sized content is their preference, so brands will have to get on board."

Jason Mander, Chief Research Officer at GlobalWebIndex

The CEO

"In 2018, I predict purpose-driven ads will make up a larger share of brand-owned videos, especially related to the year's major global sporting events. Pixability's data shows that purpose-driven ads generate more views and a higher engagement rate on YouTube than non-cause related videos. Brands that achieve the difficult task of authenticity in their video content, by creating videos that align with the causes they genuinely believe in and support, will ultimately win in 2018."

Are Consumers Ready to Go Cashless?

Are Consumers Ready to Go Cashless?

Author: By Rimma Kats

January 21, 2018

The idea of going cashless isn't too far off, especially with giants like Starbucks and Amazon already taking the leap.

But are consumers keen on such a shift? According to new data from online polling company CivicScience, the answer isn't so straightforward.

On one hand, a few consumers (10%) said they would actually go to their favorite restaurant more often if it went cashless—mostly because they rarely carry any cash with them. On the other hand, almost as many respondents (11%) said they would go less because they prefer to pay with cash. And another 15% indicated they would stop going to the restaurant altogether if it no longer accepted cash.

By and large, a significant share of internet users surveyed seemed indifferent toward the idea of a cashless restaurant. Roughly two-thirds (64%) said their visit frequency wouldn't change.

Breaking it down by restaurant type, CivicScience found that nearly three in 10 respondents (29%) who frequent fast-food restaurants, like McDonald's and KFC, said they would increase their visits if those places went cashless. However, over two-fifths (42%) of fast-food restaurant customers said they would go less, or halt trips entirely.

The responses were similar across the various restaurant types mentioned, including casual restaurants, such as Olive Garden and Applebee's, as well as independently or locally owned ones.

A separate survey from Gallup, conducted in 2016, found that US adults were a bit more enthusiastic about a cashless society. In fact, roughly 62% of those polled said the US becoming a country where all purchases are made with credit cards, debit cards or other forms of electronic payment is at least somewhat likely.

Holiday Sales Surprisingly Strong

Holiday Data Shows Surprisingly Strong Finish to the Year...

Strong Economy, consumer confidence and easing discount pressure

Author: Rimma Kats

New data from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) shows 2017 holiday spending rose dramatically over the previous year, a surprisingly positive conclusion to a year marked by widespread store closings and retail bankruptcies.

The ICSC reported that consumers spent an average of $841.50 on holiday items this past season—a whopping increase from the $711 spent in 2016.

The survey was released on the heels of a rash of early reports of solid holiday sales results from retailers including Target, Nordstrom and Kohl's. Target's comparable sales, for example, grew 3.4% in the November/December period, driven in large part by digital. And Kohl's—which has posted profit declines in 18 of the past 24 quarters—revealed that during the holidays, same-stores sales increased 7% vs. the year prior.

One worry dogging retailers through much of the year was that consumers have been conditioned to demand aggressive discounts before they part with cash. But the pressure for discounts seemed to ease a bit this year. As previously reported in eMarketer Retail, pricing firm Market Track found lower overall promotional levels as of late November.

"In previous years, holiday sales rose overall despite heavy discounting—not because of it," said eMarketer retail analyst Yory Wurmser. "Consumers adapted to competitive discounts and waited for prices to come down, which if anything lowered revenues for the industry, if perhaps helping some individual retailers."

"This year, consumer confidence was strong enough to boost spending strongly," he added. "In a virtuous cycle, retailers also felt less need to increase their discounts. The increased spending reflects overall economic conditions more than retailer discounts."

Still, plenty of shoppers were looking for deals. ICSC found that roughly four in 10 holiday shoppers were influenced by deals when deciding whether to make a holiday purchase.

The study also found roughly two-thirds of respondents shopped for gifts at discount stores like Target or Walmart, while another 47% preferred to shop at traditional department stores such as Macy's or Nordstrom.

Separately, First Data reported that US consumer spending over the holiday season (measured as October 28 to January 1) increased 6.2% year over year.
